Orlando Photography Studio ~ The “Official” Open House

Open House at the new studio……Carnival Style!!!! We have been working hard on renovating two historic train cars in our hometown of Oviedo, Florida, into a beautiful gallery and office as well as a full functioning studio space. So what better way to show it off than have a big old party to “officially” open the doors to our new train car studio. We were happy to see over 100 clients, other wedding vendors, business partners, friends and neighbors show up to help celebrate our new digs. The mayor of Oviedo, and several city council members, even stopped by to check it out and help with the ribbon cutting ceremony. We are so thankful to everybody that helped make the event the talk of the town. This studio is truly a work of art in itself and Cristy and I are excited to share it with the world. Wow, it’s been a CRAZY busy holiday season! We have slacked on our blogging in order to keep up with the holiday orders and sessions and truly apologize for the lack of attention to the blog!! We did this shoot for the fabulous clothing line Southerly a few months ago. Southerly’s website was updated recently so we thought we’d share our favorites from the shoot! This is our second shoot with Southerly and we love working with them and think their clothes are just awesome! If you haven’t seen Southerly or the site you must check it out! This little cutie was in our oldest daughters preschool class a few years ago. Imagine my surprise as I saw her for the first time in a while and she had grown about a FOOT! She is adorable and her blue eyes and curly hair just draw you in! Her mom wanted these to send to some modeling agencies and I think she’s right on target! Rebecca’s College Graduation Session

Rebecca is a friend of our fabulous hair stylist and friend Kelli. She contacted us back in September about doing a college graduation shoot for her graduation anouncements. We did her shoot the Saturday after Thanksgiving at Rollins College in Winter Park. Rebecca will be graduating from Rollins in May then going on to law school! The Southerly site is LIVE!!!

Woo hoo! You may remember the commercial shoot we did a few weeks ago for Southerly Designs. Well Helen just emailed me to tell me that her brand new site is LIVE! It looks amazing and I am so excited that we were able to help her create her vision and unveil her designs to the world! Her designs are so awesome, and the detail that goes into each shirt is beyond anything I have seen! Each shirt really is like it’s own work of art! Congrats to Helen of Southerly Designs! John and I worked with up and coming local fashion designer Helen Martinez of Southerly Designs on Saturday. We did her commercial fashion shoot to capture her vision and images for her website. She is a fabulous designer with amazing ideas and her clothes are to die for! She hired 4 amazing models for us to work with, and we had a whole crew helping out. It was a really fun day and we got a lot of really great shots for her new site! Helen is also one of the finalists for Park Avenue Fashion Week! It’s a local series of events for the Central Florida and Winter Park areas where emerging local designers showcase their designs. Helen is very deserving of this recognition, her designs are amazing and not like anything I have ever seen before. Her site should be live very soon, so stay tuned to find out how to add some of Southerly’s amazing pieces to your wardrobe! We hope you are enjoying checking out the new blog… a good friend of mine Kim Townsend of Simply Splash worked on it to get it just right for us, so a huge thank you to Kim. If you are ever in need of blog work, a splash page, an html site, or any real internet need, she’s your girl! I’ve been lucky enough to work with her a few times now on different design needs. She has done our splash page on our site and also created our logo. Gotta love that she puts up with me and my crazy off the wall questions. I’m holding out hope that she will move to Florida to live near me (there has been talk…lol.). If you want to find Kim on the web click HERE!

Our phone number is also displayed at the top of every page, so feel free to pick up the phone with questions when you have them. You can also subscribe to this blog to be notified when there are updates, that option is also at the bottom of the blog. If you find a post you like, please feel free to comment about it. I love to see that others are reading, and get your input and thoughts.

We hope you enjoy the new blog… we put a lot of thought into how we wanted it to look, and are very excited to share it with the world. It is the best place to keep current on the happenings here at CNP and see our latest work. Ever wonder what it is like to have a session done by us? Ever wonder what it is like to be a photographer? We have a crazy fun life and we love it!
