Orlando Photographer ~ All Aboard the Polar Express

So have you heard? The Polar Express is making a stop in Central Florida at our train car studio. Know who else is going to be there? You got it….Santa! That’s not all, we are actually predicting snow that day as well.

The Nielsens Photography & Design is excited to host our first annual Polar Express Fun Fest and Snow Day with Santa on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 12 to 5 pm at our studio. Come out and get your photograph taken with Santa in the snow, in front of our vintage train engine. While you are there, check out the many Central Florida vendors that will also be in attendance offering their goods and services for your holiday shopping. We can’t wait for Saturday…..See you all there!!!

Orlando Photography Studio ~ The “Official” Open House

Open House at the new studio……Carnival Style!!!! We have been working hard on renovating two historic train cars in our hometown of Oviedo, Florida, into a beautiful gallery and office as well as a full functioning studio space. So what better way to show it off than have a big old party to “officially” open the doors to our new train car studio. We were happy to see over 100 clients, other wedding vendors, business partners, friends and neighbors show up to help celebrate our new digs. The mayor of Oviedo, and several city council members, even stopped by to check it out and help with the ribbon cutting ceremony. We are so thankful to everybody that helped make the event the talk of the town. This studio is truly a work of art in itself and Cristy and I are excited to share it with the world. So, if you want to check it out, give us a call and set up a time for your own personal train car shoot and experience.

Wow, it’s been a CRAZY busy holiday season! We have slacked on our blogging in order to keep up with the holiday orders and sessions and truly apologize for the lack of attention to the blog!! There is lots of catching up to do and lots of sessions to post, so stay tuned for the posts to come!! Also keep an eye out for our January studio specials. We will be offering an introductory rate to celebrate our new studio!!

Orlando Fashion Photographer ~ 7 year old cutie!

This little cutie was in our oldest daughters preschool class a few years ago. Imagine my surprise as I saw her for the first time in a while and she had grown about a FOOT! She is adorable and her blue eyes and curly hair just draw you in! Her mom wanted these to send to some modeling agencies and I think she’s right on target! The Southerly site is LIVE!!!

Woo hoo! You may remember the commercial shoot we did a few weeks ago for Southerly Designs. Well Helen just emailed me to tell me that her brand new site is LIVE! It looks amazing and I am so excited that we were able to help her create her vision and unveil her designs to the world! Her designs are so awesome, and the detail that goes into each shirt is beyond anything I have seen! Each shirt really is like it’s own work of art! Congrats to Helen of Southerly Designs! John and I worked with up and coming local fashion designer Helen Martinez of Southerly Designs on Saturday. We did her commercial fashion shoot to capture her vision and images for her website. She is a fabulous designer with amazing ideas and her clothes are to die for! She hired 4 amazing models for us to work with, and we had a whole crew helping out. It was a really fun day and we got a lot of really great shots for her new site! Helen is also one of the finalists for Park Avenue Fashion Week! It’s a local series of events for the Central Florida and Winter Park areas where emerging local designers showcase their designs. Helen is very deserving of this recognition, her designs are amazing and not like anything I have ever seen before. Her site should be live very soon, so stay tuned to find out how to add some of Southerly’s amazing pieces to your wardrobe!
