So have you heard? The Polar Express is making a stop in Central Florida at our train car studio. Know who else is going to be there? You got it….Santa! That’s not all, we are actually predicting snow that day as well.

The Nielsens Photography & Design is excited to host our first annual Polar Express Fun Fest and Snow Day with Santa on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 12 to 5 pm at our studio. Come out and get your photograph taken with Santa in the snow, in front of our vintage train engine. While you are there, check out the many Central Florida vendors that will also be in attendance offering their goods and services for your holiday shopping. We can’t wait for Saturday…..See you all there!!!

Orlando Photography Studio ~ The “Official” Open House

Open House at the new studio……Carnival Style!!!! We have been working hard on renovating two historic train cars in our hometown of Oviedo, Florida, into a beautiful gallery and office as well as a full functioning studio space. So what better way to show it off than have a big old party to “officially” open the doors to our new train car studio. We were happy to see over 100 clients, other wedding vendors, business partners, friends and neighbors show up to help celebrate our new digs. The mayor of Oviedo, and several city council members, even stopped by to check it out and help with the ribbon cutting ceremony. We are so thankful to everybody that helped make the event the talk of the town. This studio is truly a work of art in itself and Cristy and I are excited to share it with the world. So, if you want to check it out, give us a call and set up a time for your own personal train car shoot and experience.

Please help me in congratulating Julie on the birth of her baby girl Maya. Maya was born at home with the assistance of Julie’s wonderful friends and midwife Kelli Johnson. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to do another birth with Kelli, she is such an amazing midwife! Julie was fabulously in tune throughout her entire labor and birthed her baby into her own hands. It was truly a blessing and honor to have witnessed little miss Maya come into the world! Heather and Penny from Playground Magazine hooked me up with this adorable brand new kids resale boutique on the edge of Oviedo and Winter Springs. Last night I went over to take some photos for their ad in Playground and met the owner Camille. She is a SUPER nice person and her ideas for her boutique are awesome! She is VERY well organized and has TONS of really nice high end baby and kids clothes, toys, accessories, etc. She is right near Kohl’s on Aloma, so if you are in the area stop in and say hello, and please tell her I sent you! Orlando Childbirth Photographer ~ Graham & Travis welcome a baby girl!!!

When Graham told me she was pregnant I was ecstatic for her and Travis. The times I have seen her around children (including my own) I always knew what a great mom she would be. We had the honor of photographing their wedding, bridals, engagements, and maternity. Then she asked me to help her through labor and the birth of her baby, as her doula mostly, but I couldn’t help but capture the day for them as well. It was a day full of love and support from her family. I always love to watch them all interact… they are so close and it makes me miss my family. Here’s a few of the photos I took at the hospital. And click HERE to see the full slideshow of baby G’s birth. I also have to say a huge thank you to Anny in Labor & Delivery at Winnie Palmer, she was simply AMAZING and is a tremendous nurse! If you are delivering at Winnie, ask for her, she is the best!

Our holiday portrait season is approaching fast and we are filling up our fall schedule! If you plan on having us do your family portraits this year for your holiday cards please contact us as soon as possible to book your session. Between out of town weddings, and a few trips out of state, September and October weekends are already almost fully booked, and weekday sessions are going fast! As always our premier holiday sessions include 25 5×8 photo cards. Our order deadline for guaranteed holiday delivery is November 15th. There will be no exceptions and be aware that we are taking the last week of November and first week of December off to travel to an out of town wedding and enjoy some family time! If you are wanting a simple session our “mini” sessions will take place on October 10th, for ONE day only so please contact us now to inquire and to book your preferred time slot. The session fee for a mini session is half of the normal premier rate and includes a half hour of shooting time, and a complimentary digital file of your choice for your holiday cards. These sessions are only offered once a year so act fast to secure your spot! We can be reached at 407-619-1359.

Wow, we seem to be having a bride and groom baby boom here at CNP! We photographed Lauren & Dave’s wedding last year, and they had baby Carson about 8 weeks ago and she is just adorable! 8 week olds are pretty hard to photograph, but she did pretty well considering her age, and we even got some of the sleepy shots that I always just love! It was a beautiful evening for photos and Lauren & Dave’s house and yard is gorgeous! Congrats to Lauren & Dave, we are thrilled for you both! [[Show as slideshow]]
